Offered here is an Antique Chess Backgammon Board Box with a very warn patina. The folding chessboard squares are boxwood and Rosewood veneer with a solid Mahogany frame and Backgammon playing field interior. The chess board measures 20-1/2″ x 18″ x 3-1/2″ open. The square size is 2-1/8 “. The interior is a Backgammon board. The points are 6″ long by 1/2″ wide at the base. Each bay measured 9-1/4” long.

This folding  chess Backgammon board Box is in very good condition with wear consistent with age. The finish is generally sound and has a decent luster. The chessboard will make a very attractive accompaniment to any set of antique chessmen. This Antique Chess Backgammon Box appears to have been produced in the mid-1800s. Pieces are not included.
