Antique Folding Ebony Travel Chessboard.

An Antique Folding Ebony Travel Chessboard designed for Pegged travel chessmen, such as antique bone pegged English Playing sets. The chessboard squares are Ebony and Ivory with a solid Ebony frame and a thin silver inlay on the back. The chess board measures 6″ x 6″ open. The square size is 1/2″. The chessboard utilized two silver folding hinges. This antique  chessboard is in very good condition with no damage. The finish is generally sound and has a decent luster. It could probably use a coat of wax. It appears to have been produced around 1840. Pieces are not included.
