Camelot Staunton Chessmen.

Offered here is a set of Camelot Staunton Chessmen in Boxwood and Rosewood.  The King stands a full 4-3/8″ tall with a 2-0″ diameter base. The chessmen are weighted and cushioned with green felt base pads. Aside from being the more affordable wood, Rosewood does not have the tendency to crack, a problem frequently found in weighted Ebony chess pieces.The set of chessmen includes am extra set of Queens to facilitate Pawn Promotion, a feature pioneered by Frank Camaratta and The House of Staunton.  The chessmen are housed in a suede-lined, Brown leather case with a removable upper tray and handle. The striking feature of this set of chessmen are the breathtakingly magnificent Knights.
