Anri Modern Staunton Chess Set.
Offered here is a strikingly modern Anri Modern Staunton Chessmen. The chess pieces are housed in their original compartmented cardboard display box measuring 16″ x 10″. The set is complete. The King stands ” tall. The bases are lightly weighted and the pieces rest atop a cushion of brown felt. The pieces in the chess pieces are a rather squat interpretation of the revolutionary Staunton chessmen. The finely turned chessmen are crafted from kiln-dried White Maple and Black Walnut. A suitable chessboard can be found elsewhere on this site. The chessmen are in excellent condition, the box is in-tact and in fair-to average condition. 20th Century.
