Antique Indian Staunton Style Chessmen.
Offered here is a set of Antique Indian Staunton Style Chessmen. The pieces are left natural with the Black army differentiated by their Ebony bases. The King stands 2-7/8” tall with a base diameter of 1-3/8”. The pieces are unweighted and unfelted. The chessmen are in excellent condition for their age. The chessmen are best played and displayed on a chessboard with 1-7/8″ or 2″ squares. A chessboard shown is not part of this offering, but a suitable chessboard can be purchased elsewhere on this site. These sets were produced in India. Circa 1880.
