Antique Roll Up Wooden Chessboard in Cribbage Board Box.
This lot features an Antique Roll-Up Wooden Chessboard housed in its original cribbage board box measuring 17″ long, 3-3/4″ wide and 2-1/2″ deep. The chessboard is 16″ over-all with 1-7/8″ squares of Mahogany and Sycamore. The board lies flat and can be folded in half or rolled-up and stored in the cribbage board box for easy transportation. The chessboard is most likely French from the mid-Victorian period.
