Featured here s a Signature Contemporary Curly Maple and American Walnut Chessboard featuring a unique raised playing field design with 2-1/2″ squares and an Ebony delimiter. The frame and back are solid American Walnut. The chessboard measures 24″ square. The design utilizes a “floating” playing field to prevent loading of the miters as the woods expand and contract with ambient temperature and moisture. Accompanying this chessboard is a luxurious soft black leather, padded carrying case. The chessboard is signed and dated. It was designed and crafted by Ken Woodhead in December, 2018.
