Tournament Sanctioned Staunton Chessmen.
Offered here is a new set of Tournament Sanctioned Staunton Chessmen, natural and black lacquered Boxwood, heavily weighted. The chess pieces rest atop black leatherette base pads. The King stands 4-3/8″ tall with a 1-5/8″ diameter base. This King height is referred to as the Club Size. This set is very durable and is completely legal for sanctioned tournament play. The chessmen are unused and were produced in India around 2000.
The Chessmen play and display best on a chessboard with 2-1/4″ or 2-3/8″ squares. The chessboard shown is not included with this sale, but a suitable chessboard can be found among our extensive selection of new and antique chessboards.
