This is the well regarded Garde Analog Chess Clock. The clock case is made from natural Cedar. It is quite large in comparison to most game timers at almost 9” long. It is elegantly constructed with two precision German-made wind-up movements. The clock was Engineered in Germany, manufactured in China. The case measured 8.7” by 4.7” by 2.4”. The analog Clock-face diameter is 2.8”. The clock is in good condition. It is missing one of the two wind-up keys.
German companies have long been regarded as the best quality chess clock makers and clocks from the renowned manufacturer Garde are often thought to be among the best. A Garde Analog Chess Clock was used in the Kasparov-Short world championship Chess match in 1993.
