Antique Bone Staunton Chessmen.

Offered here is a set of tournament-size Antique Bone Staunton Chessmen manufactured in Germany by Uhlig around 1900. These vintage chessmen are natural and red-stained bone. The King stands 3.4″ tall with a 1.3″ diameter base. The pieces rest atop green baize base pads, probably added later. The chessmen are in excellent condition and are housed in an unlined Mahogany slide-top box, possibly original. These Staunton chess sets were produced in several sizes.  The chess pieces are in excellent condition for their age and the red dye is still strong.
