About the Artist.

Tragically no longer with us, critically acclaimed contemporary abstract artist, Govinder Nazran’s creative legacy will live on with us. He was born in Birmingham, England in 1964. Govinder Nazran began his art training in Bradford in the North of England, where he originally studied graphic design. He worked in London and Cambridge as an illustrator, eventually settling in Saltaire and finding work as a greeting card designer and photographic art director. in 1999, Nazran decided to enter the fine arts market. He began working with the Washington Green Gallery, publishing over 40 of his designs. A naturally shy man, he relied on his art to convey his true personality. Much of his work deals with the concept of good versus evil, allowing the individual observer to choose which they prefer to see. His paintings and sculptures are frequently of animals, primarily cats and dogs. His life was tragically cut short in 2008 by an accident suffered in his home.
