Porcelain “Halloween Cones” Chess Pieces.
This striking Minimalist Porcelain “Halloween Cones” Chess set was designed in the late 1960s. This Abstract chess set was produced in the Baranov ska Factory in Zhitomir, Ukraine but the chess set had a very short production run. The chessmen have a simple but harmonious conical design and employ only orange and black detailing. The king stands at 3-1/4” tall with a 1-3/8” circular base. The pieces are hollow and unweighted. Each of the chessmen bears the stamp “2-C” under their bases. The chess pieces are in excellent condition. No chessboard is included with the chessmen.
