Royal Dux Art Deco Chess Set
This striking Porcelain Royal Dux Art Deco Chess Set was designed in the late 1960s. It was first produced in the Bohemian Porcelain factory in the Czech Republic, but the chess set had a very short production run. The chessmen have a fairly simple but harmonious design and employ only white, mat black and mat gold finishes. The king stands at 10,5 cm (4.1″) tall with the Pawn standing at 5 cm (2″). The bases are approximately 4 cm (1.6″) in diameter. This is an original set, not one of the Modern Royal Dux chess sets currently being sold. The etched Glass chessboard shown with the chessmen is not included, but is available elsewhere on this site. For our extensive selection of premium and antique chessboards, visit this link.
