Saint George Style Brass and Aluminum Chess Pieces.
Offered here is a set of Saint George Style Brass and Aluminum Chessmen. The King stands 2-1/2″ tall with a 1-0″ base. The pieces are unfelted and are housed in a black lacquered compartmented steel box with a hand-scribed inscription on the lid. The pieces are in very good-to-excellent condition and date to around 1970. The brass pieces could use some polishing. The black lacquer finish on the metal box is chipped off in numerous areas.
