Staunton Portable Brass Chess Set.
Offered here is this Italian-made Staunton Brass and Nickel-Plated Chess Set. The chessmen are housed in a fitted leather case with a chessboard top. The pieces are cushioned atop felt base pads. This set of travel-size chessmen features a 1-7/8″ tall king with a 5/8” diameter base. The chessboard is natural and walnut-stained-leather measuring 10” overall with 1-1/8” squares. The chessmen are as new. These sets probably date to the 1980s.
