Light Walnut & Maple Solid Wood Chessboard.
This is a Traditional Light Walnut and Maple Chessboard, measuring 14-7/8″ square with solid 1-3/4″ Walnut and Maple squares and a solid Walnut frame. The board was probably produced around 1960 in the U.S.A. The chessboard is in excellent condition with some very minor scuffing consistent with age and long-term shelf storage. The chessboard is designed to accommodate the library size Staunton chessmen, most pre-Staunton sets, like the Barleycorn, Saint Goerge, Calvert, etc., and some figural sets such as those Toriart sets produced by Anri.
