Does ChessAntiques.com have replacement Chess pieces should I lose or break one?

Most of the items on this site are one of a kind antiques, many were manufactured hundreds of years ago. So, we cannot normally provide reeplacement pieces for antique chess sets. All the pieces in our antique  reproduction chessmen are replaceable.

Well, do you repair chess pieces and boards?

For repair or fabrication of replacement chess pieces, ChessAntiques.com is pleased to recommend Ron Fromkin, owner of the Japanese Repository Inc., for his expert chess restoration services. We have been using Ron for many years and have always found his work to be of the highest quality and reasonably priced.

Ron has been restoring chess pieces and other artwork for the last 24 years. He works in wood, ivory, horn, bone, antler, and other natural materials. He repairs chess boards, and also does lathe turning. Contact him directly at ivoryrepair@yahoo.com. For additional information visit his website at www.ivoryrepair.com.
