Danish Tower Minimalist Chessmen.
This lot features a set of Danish Tower Minimalist Chessmen. These pieces crafted from Boxwood and Golden Rosewood. The King stands3-1/2″ tall with a 1-0″ diameter base. The brown felted Chess pieces are unweighted. This minimalist design is somewhat reminiscent of the 1960s iconic modernist chessmen by Herman Ohme. The chess pieces play and display best on a wooden chessboard with 2-0″ squares. The contemporary chessboard shown is not included but a suitable chessboard can be found here. The chessmen are in very good condition and were likely produced in India around 2000.
