Description
Large Solid Bronze Beastmen Warriors Fantasy Chess Set.
Offered here is the extraordinary solid bronze Beastmen Warriors Fantasy chess set. The set is more commonly known under the Jungle Carnage name, which was designed by Leon Rodrigo Fernandez Hermandez. The King stands an impressive 4 inches tall. The chessmen are crafted from solid, very heavy cast bronze with flat, machined bottoms for stability with an impressive board presence. Also included are four Beastmen heads (two of each finish, see images) that were designed to fit into the four corners of the original chessboard (Not Included).
This is a museum-quality sculptural masterpiece designed for fantasy enthusiasts and lovers of epic dark-fantasy art. The black army is much darker than shown. The images have been enhanced to better show the fine detail. Each piece is hand-sculpted with breathtaking detail, bringing a savage army of anthropomorphic beastmen to life. One side features a rich, antiqued black finish while the opposing army has a worn antiqued white patina, creating instant visual drama and a striking two-tone battlefield effect.
The anthropomorphic beastmen represented are.
- Bishops as Armored Rhino Warriors – massive horns, spiked pauldrons, and battle stances
- Pawns as Turtle-Shell Fighters – heavily protected segmented shells, wielding axes
- Rooks as Bull Minotaur Swordsmen – muscular, horned berserkers
- Equine/Horse-Headed Knights – fierce centaur-like warriors
- Majestic Lion Kings – Maned leaders exuding raw strength and authority
- Demonic Feline Queens – sleek, cat-like female figures
Every detail is captured in cast Bronze, making this set a true work of art that looks spectacular both on and off the board.
Design features of the Beastmen Warriors Fantasy Chess Set include exceptionally heavy solid bronze construction for superior stability and heft, two contrasting antiqued matte finishes and a highly detailed fantasy beastmen theme inspired by Warhammer, D&D, and classic dark fantasy
This is a rare set by Mexican artist Leon Rodrigo Fernandez Hermandez, who made a limited number of these sets, possibly influenced by Sergio Bernal. The chessmen are bronze and cast by the lost wax method. This solid bronze Beastmen Warriors Fantasy chess set showcases the artist’s exceptional craftsmanship.
No chessboard is included with this Fantasy Chess Set, but a suitable chessboard can be found here. The four beastmen heads that adorned the four corners of the original chessboard are included.
