Mid-20th century Bohemian Iridescent Glass Chessmen
Offered here is a rather elegant and delicate set of Mid-20th Century Bohemian Iridescent Glass Chessmen. Each Skittle-shaped piece rests atop felt base pads and is individually handcrafted with inherent coloring and iridescent finishes. The pieces resemble elegant skittle or bowling pin shapes. The white side shimmers with opalescent pearl tones, while the opposing side boasts rainbow iridescent hues. Each king measures 5″ tall with a 1-3/8″ base, making it a striking display. Likely produced in Czechoslovakia between 1930 and 1960, this complete 32-piece set combines artistic glasswork with strong collector cross-over appeal. This unique set of Glass Chessmen has a one-of-a-kind charm.
