FIDE Sanctioned Tournament Chessmen.
Offered here is a new set of FIDE Sanctioned Tournament Chessmen in Boxwood and Ebony, heavily weighted, with green felt base pads. The King stands 3-7/8″ tall with a 1-3/8″ diameter base. This King height is referred to as the Tournament Size. This set is very durable and is completely legal for sanctioned tournament play. The chessmen are unused and were produced in India around 2000.
The Chessmen play and display best on a chessboard with 2-1/8″ or 2-1/4″ squares. They are housed in their original divided, hinge-top wooden box. . The chessboard shown is not included with this sale, but a suitable chessboard can be found among our extensive selection of new and antique chessboards.
